
A brand new site
After designing a new logo and identity system for Split Rock International, we created a small starter website for them. Part of our research included a competitive analysis of similar websites. In a conservative market, Split Rock's website stands out from the crowd with strong imagery, a light touch, and a sense of depth and space.
Avoiding the obvious
Because the company works on both sides of the trade equation—helping foreign firms do business here as well as advising U.S. companies on how to find markets overseas—we avoided the usual Washington-oriented imagery. Our goal was to position Split Rock as more creative and technology-savvy than their peers.
Enhancements & updates
After the site had been live for a year, we were asked to design a new blog for principal Grant Aldonas. The blog was developed in Movable Type with custom templates to match the rest of the website. We also designed and built a landing page for Grant's new book release.
