Continuity and change
Apt has designed five years of annual reports for UNA-USA, an advocacy and development organization that facilitates US participation in United Nations programs. As a result, the design must relate to the theme, but have visual continuity with past years.
Diverse images
With programs and events all over the world, the photography for UNA's reports can be eclectic. Our goal is to be as creative as possible with images and allow them to tell the organization's story.
Type and image
Marrying type and images is one of our strengths. Proximity, color, size, and style are used to draw attention to important information and help pace readers through the publication.
Creating drama
Good publication design creates drama and visual tension to keep readers engaged. Bold opening pages contrast with denser interior pages, creating a hierarchy of information that accommodates both skimming and reading.
